What is the Jade?
Our neighborhood includes one of the most diverse census tracts in the State of Oregon, with a population comprised of a majority of people of color.
Currently, the Jade District is a place-based, community building and economic development program of the Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO) Communities United Fund focused on improving the ten block area radius surrounding Southeast 82nd Ave and Southeast Division Street.

Ensuring that the homes in the Jade District will be affordable and accessible for our residents to have a stable home as the area develops, grows and changes.
Through grants, workshops, and technical assistance, the Jade District facilitates the growth of the local economy and supports and stabilizes small businesses that reflect the diversity of the cultures present in the Jade District.
The Jade District advocates for commercial and residential streets that are safe and accessible for pedestrians and bikers. This also includes equitable investments from public transportation projects and investments.
Park and green spaces are essential hubs for community members and families to host social gatherings, access to safe areas for exercise and play while also improving the greenery and air quality.
